The Heritage Conservation Trust (HCT) supports the conservation of works of art at historic houses open to the public. The HCT also supports education, access and research initiatives in these special places.
The Heritage Conservation Trust supported the restoration of 'A Group of Musicians' (Ventian School, after Veronese) which is part of the collection at Raby Castle in County Durham. The report from the conservator helps to explain what happens when a painting like this is treated.
The Heritage Conservation Trust supported the restoration of
'Tulips, Carnations and Other Flowers in a Vase on a Plinth in a formal garden'. The painting is believed to be by Pieter Casteels, 1684-1749.
The Heritage Conservation Trust is an independent charity providing support for historic properties. We often give grants where support cannot otherwise be found to help conserve and make accessible these vital parts of Britain's heritage. Donations from individuals and regional heritage groups have allowed us to enhance our activities and we are dependent on these for the Trust's future development.
For information about setting up a standing order please see our donation page.
