In the twelve months to the end of 2009, the HCT awarded nearly £10,000 worth of grants towards the restoration of paintings including for a still life at Levens Hall in Cumbria: Circle of Gottfried von Wedig, a study of a poppy plant in a woodland setting with butterflies, attributed to Simon Pietersz Verelst.
